Ghanaians urged to reconcile Kufuor and Rawlings
Peter Abban , 04/01/2007

The Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Yaw Frempong-Manso has called for settlement among warring ethnic groups in the country.

The Moderator who decried the "destroy thy neighbour” attitude of some Ghanaians urged all citizens to forgive offences and to seek reconciliation with one another, particularly reconciliation between the former and current Presidents, J J Rawlings and J A Kufuor.

Rev Frempong-Manso in reference to the upcoming Golden Jubilee of Ghana's Independence stressed the need for Ghanaians to forge ahead in unity for Ghana"s growth and progress.

Preaching the sermon to mark the induction of Joseph Obiri Yeboah Mante as Akuapem Presbytery Chairperson, at the Christ Presbyterian Chapel, Akropong-Akuapem last Sunday, Rev Frempong-Manso referred to the execution of the former Iraqi President, Saddam Hussein declaring that although a very sad event, Saddam’s death carried the poignant message that no tyrant could reign forever.
