The Danquah Institute has appointed Kingsley Nyarko to take up responsibilities as the new Executive Director of the institute.

Dr Nyarko is expected to intensify the institute’s role as a training centre for future leaders, especially in the direction of the Danquah-Dombo-Busia ideology.

The acting Chair of the Governing Board of DI, Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, pointed out that the new Executive Director is expected to identify and groom future leaders.

“You will be required to lead the institute by providing effective leadership, promoting the ideology of the Danquah-Dombo-Busia tradition, fostering responsible governance on the African continent and espousing the virtue of individual liberties and economic freedom,” he stated in the letter of appointment addressed to Dr Nyarko.

Dr Nyarko is a Senior Lecturer at the Psychology Department, University of Ghana. He has won many awards, including the best researcher at the university in 2014 and 2015. He holds a PhD from the University of Munich, Master of Arts from the University of Munich and Bachelor of Education from the University of Cape Coast.

He takes over from Nana Attobrah Quaicoe who joined the Institute on its inception in 2002, rising to occupy the position of Head of Research before leaving as the Executive Director.
